The the virtual images of the example house below, is best appreciated on a large screen. These were designed this with Sketchup and and Podium. Now I work in TrueMotion for VR work.
VR on the left, the finished house on the right, and a few before and after’s at the end.
My design philosophy follows Christopher Alexander’s principles, with a strong emphasis on flexibility, and focusing on upgrading the permanent features of a home—and incorporating elements of surprise fun & joy.
I despair at the three-car garage dominating a front yard—a space that could be far better used as a home office with a private entrance for clients or visitors.
An elevator has become a necessity, simplifying moving furniture, enables zone heating for different floors, and prevents kitchen smells and noise from drifting upstairs.
And of course, I always prioritize great oversized decks—half covered for rainy days and half open to bask in the sun and sky.
Enjoy.
